I know what you’re thinking…..it’s about time!
I don’t even have an excuse for why I am writing this review during the first few days of November.
So lets just get right into things.
If you don’t know…
Ipsy is a $10/month subscription bag that generally includes 4-5 deluxe sample or full size products. When joining their website you fill out a beauty quiz and that is how they personalize the products to you. Now, some months are hit and miss — there maybe a product or two that I am not crazy about. If I’ll never use it, I give it away. But, sometimes it’s a great product to try and a wonderful way jump out of my comfort zone. You never know. It is also important to be as honest as possible during the quiz to help ensure bags you would like.
Seriously, it’s $10 a month. Can’t beat that. The only downfall is the wait list. But almost every other month they have a “skip the waitlist” link and I always post it (so keep a look out) and sign up here.
Now for the good part, the bag.
Each month has a new theme and a new makeup bag to fit the theme.
The theme was Beauty Candy and the bag is super cute. The color is a nice teal/turquoise and the feel is very slick. I like this because both the inside and outside seem like they can be whipped clean, which is always a plus in a makeup bag. The one negative to this bag is the zipper placement. I hate when the zipper is not directly at the top. Bags that are designed like this are much harder to get into if I use it in my purse everyday.
Now lets dive into the goodies.

I like the formula of this lipstick. It’s not too drying and the color payoff is great. The packaging is simple and cute and the price is right BUT I hate the color! It shows more brown on me than anything and it just looks terrible on me. But that is not the lipsticks fault. I would definitely buy this product in a different shade.
Skyn Iceland – Mini Glacial Cleansing Cloths – 2 oz. sample size – $15 (full size, 30 cloths)
When you’re too tired to deal with the whole cleanser and wash cloth routine, these on-the-go foaming cloths are the ultimate skin savior. Infused with Icelandic glacial waters and beneficial natural extracts, they sweep away makeup, dirt, oil and other impurities while refreshing and soothing stressed skin. Best of all, there’s no water required. It has a clean scent, never tacky. Great for travel or every day!
These are amazing. The foam up without water but don’t leave any kind of film on your face. They take off everything, even waterproof mascara, and they feel wonderful on the skin. I have been using them while traveling instead of face wash and they are perfect. I will definitely be purchasing these.

This stuff is a cream blush that is marketed is a highlighter. The color is great for my skin tone and gives just a slight dewy-ness. The idea behind it is no blending and subtlety. Too bad I really have no use for it because I am naturally “dewy” ::cough:: oily ::cough::. As a random note, it smells amazing, like vanilla sugar cookies.

Figs & Rouge Shea Butter Enriched Limited Edition Hand Creams are deliciously fragrant & indulgent. These delectable creams soften, nourish & thoroughly pamper hands throughout the day, quickly absorbing to provide super-soft skin.
Can I just start by talking about how cute this packaging is. I just want to take this little guy with me everywhere. The screw cap is adorable and the colors are awesome. It is the perfect size for a purse hand cream and it smells amazing. Getting it this time of the year is perfect too with all the cooler weather coming I definitely need moisture. Is is not a heavy formula and seems to melt right into your hands. It will be a sad day when I use all of this up. They do sell bigger sizes for around $13.

A first in haircare. This product I was a little ehhh on. It doesn’t smell good and I don’t really like balms for my hair. I prefer oils in my hair. This balm was a good formula and didn’t wear my hair down but it also seemed to add a bit of texture to my hair. I am not into texture so that was a negative for me as well. I tend to be a bit picky with my hair products because I already have ones that I like to use. Larger size 4.2 oz for $30
Over all this was a good Ipsy month. Not counting any of the sample sizes it was about a $28 value which is almost triple what we pay for it. Definitely better than September and I am looking forward to November because it is their anniversary month. Those bags tend to be a little bit better.
